Be honest with yourself please. You want to be popular! You want millions of people following you on your Instagram account.
You want to be an Instagram STAR! Every time your iPhone buzzes to notify you about a new like on your most recent post you get that euphoric rush of serotonin that you’re constantly searching for. But that feeling leaves you just as quickly as your likes slow down.
Here are some tips that will help you get more likes on your Instagram posts, and more followers for your account.
Maybe you’ll be an Instragram star making millions of dollars before you know it.
There are just 5 tips. And the 5th tip is the most important of them all. Seriously, read tip 5.
Tip 1 – NEVER GET FAKE FOLLOWERS OR FAKE LIKES!
Many people use apps that get them fake followers and fake likes. This is very dangerous! Instagram will deactivate your account for this. The worst part is that you’ll waste hours upon hours using these apps to get you fake followers and likes, and you should have used that time doing things the right way!
So fight the temptation and stay away from these fake follower apps.
Tip 2 – Use 30 different hashtags on every post
Just do it. Even if you don’t have time to do it, do it. You don’t want to use the same hashtags on each post.
Think of hashtags as seeds that you can plant. The more seeds you plant, the more oranges you’ll have for people to eat from your trees. People search all kinds of hashtags, so you’ll want to get out in front of as many people as possible.
Here are the 30 most popular hashtags used on Instagram, so just copy and past these on one of your posts to save you time:
#love #instagood #me #cute #tbt #photooftheday #instamood #iphonesia #tweegram #picoftheday #igers #girl #beautiful #instadaily #summer #instagramhub #iphoneonly #follow #igdaily #bestoftheday #happy #picstitch #jj #sky #nofilter #fashion #followme #fun #sun #smile
Here are the next 30 most popular hashtags (31 – 60)
#instagramers #pretty #food #friends #like #lol #nature #hair #swag #beach #funny #bored #life #cool #blue #dog #pink #art #versagram #sunset #hot #photo #instahub #my #family #throwbackthursday #cat #amazing #girls
Finally, here are the 61st to 90th most popular hashtags:
#awesome #clouds #baby #party #red #repost #music #black #jj_forum #instalove #all_shots #igaddict #night #followback #yummy #white #bestfriend #green #yum #instago #halloween #school #eyes #harrystyles #sweet #2012 #2013 #onedirection
We have another post with more hashtags you should use. So check that one out if you have time.
But you should always just do a Google search to find the perfect 30 hashtags for each of your posts.
For example, if you want to post a cute picture of your dog, go to Google and search this exact phrase:
“Top 30 hashtags for dogs”
Then you will be provided with search results that will just let you copy and paste the TOP 30 hashtags you should use for your post.
By the way, people love dog posts. So if you have a cute puppy or dog, always try and throw in one post each week of your dog. Even better, post a video of your dog. You’ll see why you should post a video instead of a pic in Tip number 3.
Tip 3 – Post videos
I don’t care if you don’t want to post a video, if you do it you’ll get more likes and more followers. Also, people see “views” and not “likes”, so even if someone doesn’t “like” your video, it’ll still show that someone saw it.
People also share video posts more than they share pics because you can’t do a screen shot of a video post like you can a picture post.
There are apps you can get that allow you to repost other people’s videos to your Instagram account. Use one of those and add a funny or cute puppy video post at least once per week.
But you’ll want to also post videos of your daily life. People want to see videos of things interesting in your life. If you attend a concert throw a quick video post of that.
Or as mentioned in Tip 2, post a video of your dog, or cat, or your pet chicken.
But always keep your video posts 15 seconds or less. People will share a short post with other people, but very few people will ever share a video post longer than 15 seconds.
Tip 4 – Post only once per day max!
-The more you post the more people will stop following you.
Tip 5 – Follow 50 people per day until you’re following 4,000 people.
Make sure these people are following less than 500 people and don’t have more than 500 followers.
This is super important. If someone is following more than 500 people then your posts will probably never get seen if they follow you.
People with less than 500 followers and following less than 500 will also be more likely to start following you back if you follow them.
Once you’re following 4,000 people you need to alternate days where you unfollow 50 people one day and then follow a new 50 people the next day.
Always unfollow the oldest sets of 50 people you’re following. Don’t unfollow the same 50 people you started following the day before.
The point of this strategy is to get as many of those 50 people you’re following to follow you back.
But don’t follow 50 people at once. Follow 5 or 10 an hour until you reach 50.
Instagram only allows you to follow 7,500 people. So you will have to unfollow someone sooner or later, so we found that the 4,000 follow rule works the best.
Final piece of advice, be patient! If you follow these rules/tips above, then after 6 months you could have over 50,000 followers. After 12 months you could be over 200,000 followers. After 24 months might have 1 million followers.
And don’t check your DMs! If you upset someone they can report you to Instagram and get your account disabled. Only reply to comments on your posts. People have very thin skin and get upset over the silliest things.
Never engage with anyone that is rude to you on Instagram, just delete their comments from your posts and block them from your account.
You might want to say something back, but don’t. You don’t want all of your hard work wasted by getting yourself banned from Instagram.
And always just be yourself and people will want to start following you. And be safe please.
And please don’t spend more than 30 minutes on Instagram or any other social media platform. It’s not good for your eyes.
Now follow these rules above and become that Instagram celebrity you’ve always wanted to become!
